Ad disclosure
Ad disclosure is the visible identification of content as paid-for or incentivised, required before the audience engages with it — a clear 'ad' label or the platform's paid-partnership tag, not a buried hashtag. Regimes differ by market (ASA/CMA in the UK, FTC in the US) but converge on the same principle, and the obligation binds the brand as well as the creator.
Worked example
The word Ad at the start of a caption plus the platform's partnership tag — visible without tapping 'more'.
