CPA

CPA (cost per acquisition) divides campaign cost by attributed conversions — sales, signups, installs. It is the metric closest to commercial reality and the most sensitive to attribution quality: without per-creator codes and a sensible window, CPA is guesswork. Purchase lag means judging CPA on launch day systematically undervalues creator work.

Worked example

A £1,500 campaign attributed 60 coded orders over four weeks: £25 CPA.
