UGC
UGC (user-generated content) originally meant content made unprompted by customers. In creator marketing it now also covers commissioned content made in that native style for brand channels rather than the creator's own audience. The distinction matters commercially: commissioned UGC is priced for production and usage, not for the creator's reach.
Worked example
A brand pays a creator to film three product videos for the brand's own ads — she never posts them. That is commissioned UGC: production plus licence, no distribution.
