CPM

CPM (cost per mille) is the cost of one thousand impressions: fee divided by impressions, times one thousand. It makes differently sized placements comparable, but it prices attention, not action — a low CPM on an audience that never buys is expensive. Compare CPM only alongside an intent or conversion measure.

Worked example

A £600 placement delivering 150,000 impressions ran at £600 / 150 = £4 CPM.
