Privacy

This site runs no advertising trackers and does no profiling. One value is stored in your own browser — your light or dark theme choice — and it is never sent to us. If you subscribe to the newsletter we store the email address you give us, and nothing else.

What’s stored in your browser

What Where Why Sent to us?
Theme preference localStorage So light or dark mode persists between visits No

Clearing your browser storage removes it. Nothing else is set.

What we don’t do

  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • No profiling and no audience segments.
  • No third-party fonts or scripts from external hosts — fonts are served from this domain, so reading this site does not announce itself to a font CDN.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data.

Newsletter

If you subscribe we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. We don’t ask for a name, we don’t infer anything from the address, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Ask and we’ll delete the record.

Server logs

The server records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent — as part of running and securing the site. Ordinary technical logging on a short rolling retention, not used to build a profile.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. In practice we hold almost nothing: no account, and no record at all unless you subscribed or wrote to us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
